With a 12-amp, 2-1/4-horsepower motor delivering 8,000 to 25,000 rpm (no-load), this router kit features a variable-speed dial that allows users to match the speed to the workpiece and task at hand.

Equipped with Bosch's exclusive Constant Response Circuitry, this router maintains a constant speed throughout the cut, resulting in clean, accurate results. The soft-start feature reduces start-up torque for a smoother transition and easier handling.

Designed for both fixed-depth and plunge routing, the 1617EVSPK kit includes both a fixed base and a plunge base. Both bases utilize a precision centering design that makes it easy to keep the bit on the intended cut line when using guidance devices like jigs, templates, and dovetail fixtures.

The microfine bit-depth adjustment systems on both bases enable fast, precise bit-depth adjustments, with an overall range of one inch and accuracy to 1/64 inch. The large base openings and 2-inch sub-base openings accommodate larger bits and provide better visibility.

For added convenience, the quick-clamp system allows for tool-free conversion between the fixed and plunge bases, taking only seconds to move the motor from one to the other. The fixed base features threaded holes for mounting to a router table, and its advanced bit height adjustment system allows for convenient adjustment from above the table.

Boasting a rugged, durable construction, the 1617EVSPK is built to last. The motor housing and bases are made of aluminum, and the power switch is dust-sealed for added longevity. The kit comes with a carrying case to keep all components protected.
